Mill Creek Library Reopens on September 7

Library Reopens After Three-Month Repair Project

Sno-Isle Libraries announces the Mill Creek Library will reopen its doors on September 7 following a three-month closure for essential repairs.

This project included:

  • Floor Repairs: Updated flooring to ensure the safety of the building.
  • Cleaner Air, Heating, and Cooling Center: A new ventilating, heating, and air conditioning system to create community resilience during extreme weather conditions.
  • Restroom Accessibility: ADA accessible restrooms with modern fixtures to create functional spaces. Plus, an additional restroom in the children’s area.
  • Finishes: New interior paint and carpet.

"We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the library," said Lois Langer Thompson, Sno-Isle Libraries executive director.  "These improvements were necessary to provide a safer and more comfortable environment for our community."

Mill Creek Library staff are eager to see customers. Regular library hours and services will resume as usual.

The $1.3 million project was funded by Sno-Isle Libraries and a $200,000 grant from the State of Washington. Thank you to State Representative April Berg, State Representative Brandy Donaghy, State Senator John Lovick, and the City of Mill Creek for helping secure this state funding.
