Langley Library is soaking up the sun!

We’ve hit a bright milestone in the Langley Library remodel project — solar panels are officially in place!

With this project already on track to becoming LEED Silver Certified (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), the solar panels will further reduce the library’s carbon footprint.

Watch this video to see the new solar panels.

The Langley Library’s solar panels were funded by a $600,000 state grant made possible by the State Legislature, with support from Representative Dave Paul, Representative Clyde Shavers, State Senator June Robinson, the House Capital Budget Committee, and State Senator Ron Muzzall. The panels were installed by Valdez Construction and Steele Electric.

The remodel project is on schedule to be completed in four months.
