Our community came together in September to celebrate the new Lake Stevens Library. We have hammered out the details for construction to kick off in January 2025. Sno-Isle Libraries has awarded general contractor Faber Construction the contract to complete the Lake Stevens Library project. The current timeline for construction completion is spring 2026.
From cozy reading nooks to lush gardens, the two-story, 15,000-square-foot building will incorporate the natural landscape and reflect the city's unique character. Our community will enjoy an engaging children’s area, flexible meeting rooms, outdoor gathering spaces, interactive learning trails, and more. This project is designed for LEED Silver certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which is focused on energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.
Thank you, Chapel Hill neighbors, for your support as we build our new community library!
