Following a competitive application process, Kay Crull was appointed by the joint action of the Snohomish County Council and the Board of Island County Commission and will begin service in January 2025 for a seven-year term. Crull is a resident of Marysville and retired in 2019 from her position as senior vice president of operations for The American Red Cross.

Lois Langer Thompson Day
Sno-Isle Libraries' Executive Director Lois Langer Thompson was formally commended by the Snohomish County Council with a Proclamation recognizing October 9, 2024 as Lois Langer Thompson Day in Snohomish County.
