Maybe you’re establishing a nonprofit organization and need to learn about managing people, programs, and funds. Or perhaps you have transferable skills from business management but are transitioning to a nonprofit setting and want to find inspiration and knowledge from others’ experiences. Try borrowing some convenient OverDrive ebooks and downloadable audiobooks on nonprofit management from Sno-Isle.
The OverDrive collection can be accessed via the Libby app or by using a browser. To determine the best way to borrow items based on the device you intend to use, visit OverDrive Help: Getting Started with OverDrive. Sno-Isle catalog indexes both physical and econtent, but if you want to focus on ebooks and borrow them directly, try searching the Sno-Isle OverDrive site, the Libby app, or the Sno-Isle Libby site. An advantage to the OverDrive site is that search results will include a second list of titles not yet owned by Sno-Isle which customers may recommend for purchase, while Libby doesn’t yet offer this feature.
Let’s start with the OverDrive site, and then we can look at doing roughly the same thing with the Libby app or site.
Searching the OverDrive site
On the OverDrive site, click the magnifying glass at the upper right. A simple keyword search for “nonprofit management” returns 44 results, though not all are relevant and a title with both an ebook and downloadable audiobook version will appear twice. Several filters appear on the left. To execute a more complex search on the site, click “Advanced.” If “Advanced” isn’t visible, click the magnifying glass again and it should appear.
