Sno-Isle Libraries provides access to its public records under the provisions of the Washington State Public Records Act RCW 42.56, the Public Records Policy, and the Public Records Request Administrative Policy.
The Library makes a variety of records available online, including, but not limited to:
- Board of Trustees meeting agenda, packets, and minutes
- Contracts awarded
- Annual Community Report
Other records maintained by the Library are available for public inspection or copy, unless specifically exempted by law.
Use of the Library’s Public Records Request form is the most efficient way to make a request; however, its use isn’t required for a request to be processed. Requests may be submitted in person, via mail, email, or phone. To best assist you, include the following information:
- Contact information of requester
- Identification of the public records adequate to locate the records
- Whether you wish to inspect the records in person and/or purchase physical or digital copies
- The date and time of day of the request
Anyone wishing to inspect or receive a copy of the Library’s public records or seeking assistance in making such a request should contact the Library’s Public Records Officer:

Sno-Isle Libraries Board Policy
Purpose
To provide for reimbursement of authorized and reasonable business expenses incurred by Sno-Isle Libraries (Library District) employees and members of the Board of Trustees (Trustees).
Scope
This policy applies to all Library District employees and Trustees. Authorized and reasonable business expenses are those that:
- Are for a valid business purpose or benefit to the Library District.
- Are customary and appropriate for a specific situation.
- Reflect an authorized, prudent decision and action to incur the expense.
- Serve a public purpose.
Implementation
The Library District encourages employees and Trustees to engage with communities and to participate in learning and development opportunities. The Library District does not expect employees or Trustees to incur personal expenses in support of such engagement and learning. The Director of Finance shall maintain procedures and guidelines implementing this policy in compliance with applicable law, including the Revised Code of Washington (RCW).

Process
This policy shall be reviewed at least every four (4) years by the Director of Finance or designee, who may recommend appropriate updates. Any such recommendations shall be made to the Executive Director and other appropriate reviewers before submission to the appropriate Board committee. The committee shall review the recommendations, revise the policy as appropriate, endorse the revised policy, and forward it to the full Board for approval.
