"Even during those gray and rainy winter days, it feels as though the windows are catching sunlight and magnifying it." Built in 2003, the spacious library of contemporary design "has lots of nooks and comfortable seating where you can settle down with a good book.
"At the Snohomish Library, windows stand taller than bookshelves and let natural light shine in. People curl up in couches near a fireplace. Librarians work hard to let people feel cozy and comfortable."
It had been startling and disappointing to me to find out that story books had been written by people, that books were not natural wonders, coming up of themselves like grass.
