There is a future for history at Sno-Isle Libraries.
"We're very fortunate to have an extensive collection historical images thanks to our partners in the Digitize Our Community History Project," said Colleen Brazil, Content Access Manager for the library district. "Unfortunately, the software that we've been using to organize and make the images available will no longer be supported."
The library district is moving to a new software platform, but the process will take a bit of time. During the transition, the images and their descriptions will not be available for public consumption.
Eventually, images and description will be reunited into a dynamic new presentation platform.
"We hope to have the new system in place this spring," Brazil said. "We're very excited about the presentations of the material customers will see and experience with the new software. We're just asking for a bit patience in getting there."
