$100,000 for Children's Programs and Services
This year, Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation pledged more than $100,000 to support Sno-Isle Libraries efforts with early literacy and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs.

Funding for programs will include:
  • building the capacity within the system to become early literacy educators;
  • enhancing children's areas within the libraries to keep children interacting for longer periods of time and expanding opportunities for learning;
  • offering new opportunities for structured play -- one of the best ways to teach language and literacy skills -- both onsite and at outreach events; and
  • other programs and services that help children learn the skills needed to become readers.
With a solid early literacy foundation, children enter school ready and eager to learn to read. We are also working on creating new school-aged children programs, working to create a community of children who don't just read at school level, but read for enjoyment, sport, information, research and experiment.

None of this would be possible without donors such as you. If you are interested in joining our effort to create a community of lifelong readers, visit our Website at www.sno-isle.org/foundation.

Share Your Library Love
Sharing powerful, true stories with others can move mountains. As a library fan, you know that.

And as a library cardholder, you also know the wonderful life benefits that come from using the library.

Most stories in a library come from books. But at Sno-Isle Libraries, our stories come from you. We are collecting true stories from you, our customers, partners and stakeholders, about how the library has enhanced your life. Big rescues or little chuckles, we want to hear it all ... because we want to share your stories.

When someone who hasn't been indoctrinated into the glorious secrets of the library -- as you have been -- hears these stories, well ... just imagine, your story could change a life.

Send your stories and testimonials to stories@sno-isle.org.
