Read it Again!
In the Nysether Family Foundation Friends Preschool Storytime Kit, I (Joy, children's librarian) came across the book "The Doghouse" by Jan Thomas.

I will readily confess that this was not a book I would've tried at storytime had it not been in the box, which is part of the beauty of these kits. As it turns out, it's been such a big hit with kids!

At a recent storytime at the Stillaguamish Tribal Daycare, I shared this book then placed it on the floor and moved on to other stories. One little boy wanted to read the story again so badly that he finally hopped up and grabbed the book. The book, which was in mint condition from our storytime kit, was now being handled by an excited and not very careful child. Eek!

Well, I let him read it again to himself as I continued my other stories with the rest of the group, keeping a watchful eye on this boy. He seemed to delight in the story all over again. At the end of storytime, he gave the book back to me still in good condition.

Thanks to the Nysether Family's donation to the Foundation, and Sno-Isle's children's services staff, who coordinate the contents of the Storytime Kits, for bringing this wonderful book to so many kids!

Find Your Way at the Library
The next time you're in one of our libraries ? look up, look around.

You may notice new colorful signs such as "Express Checkout," "Nonfiction," "Children," and rangefinders (the signs on the end of a bookshelf). By the end of January, installation of the color coordinated signs designed to help you find your way will be complete at all community libraries.

We want you to get lost in a good book, but we don?t want you to get lost in our libraries. As part of our 2008 ? 2013 strategic plan, Sno-Isle Libraries has made it a priority to give our customers the most convenient and comfortable library experience we can.

By looking up or across the library, it should be clear where you are or where you want to go to find the information you desire. Our easy-to-read signs were produced and installed with the support from the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.
